Description

This product is used to relieve occasional constipation. Glycerin belongs to a class of drugs known as hyperosmotic laxatives. It works by drawing water into the intestines. For preschool-aged children, the normal frequency of bowel movements varies from once daily to once every other day. How to use Adult Suppositories Suppository

This product is for rectal use only. Read and follow all directions on the product package, or use as directed by your doctor. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. If the suppository is too soft to insert, chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or run cold water over it before removing the foil wrapper.Wash your hands before and after using this product. If the medication is wrapped in foil, remove the foil wrapper. If desired, the suppository may be moistened with lukewarm water. Do not use petroleum jelly or mineral oil. Doing so may cause the product to be less effective.Lie on your left side with the right knee slightly bent. Using your finger, gently insert the suppository well up into the rectum, pointed end first. After insertion, stay in position for 15 to 20 minutes if possible until you feel a strong urge to have a bowel movement. This product does not need to melt completely to produce an effect. If you are helping a child use this product, have the child lie on their side with the lower leg straightened out and the upper leg bent toward the stomach. Using your finger, gently insert the suppository into the rectum, pointed end first. Hold the buttocks together for a few seconds. Then, have your child stay lying down for 15 to 20 minutes if possible to keep the suppository from coming out.Do not use this product more than once daily unless otherwise directed by your doctor.

If this product is used too frequently, it may cause loss of normal bowel function and an inability to have a bowel movement without using the product (laxative dependence). If you notice symptoms of overuse, such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, decreased weight, or weakness, contact your doctor promptly.Consult your doctor promptly if you do not have a bowel movement after using this product or if you think you may have a serious medical problem.

How should to take tetracycline(Tetrasin-250)?

Take tetracycline exactly as it was prescribed for you. Follow all directions on your prescription label. Do not take this medicine in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.Take tetracycline on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.Do not take this medicine with milk or other dairy products, unless your doctor has told you to. Dairy products can make it harder for your body to absorb the medicine.Shake the oral suspension (liquid) well just before you measure a dose. Measure liquid medicine with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup. If you do not have a dose-measuring device, ask your pharmacist for one.If you need surgery, tell the surgeon ahead of time that you are using tetracycline.If you use this medicine long-term, you may need frequent medical tests.Use this medicine for the full prescribed length of time. Your symptoms may improve before the infection is completely cleared. Skipping doses may also increase your risk of further infection that is resistant to antibiotics. Tetracycline will not treat a viral infection such as the flu or a common cold.Do not share this medicine with another person, even if they have the same symptoms you have.Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat.Throw away any unused tetracycline after the expiration date on the label has passed. Taking expired tetracycline can cause damage to your kidneys.

How much to use

Take AVAMYS as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. Don't exceed the recommended dose.Adults and adolescents 12 years and older:

The usual starting dose is 2 sprays in each nostril once a day.
Once symptoms are controlled you may be able to decrease your dose to 1 spray in each nostril once a day.

Children (2 to 11 years):

The usual starting dose is 1 spray in each nostril once a day.
If symptoms are severe your doctor may increase the dose to 2 sprays in each nostril once a day until symptoms are under control. It may then be possible for the dose to be reduced to 1 spray in each nostril once a day.

It has virtually no taste.AVAMYS is not for use in the eyes.Use AVAMYS once a day and at the same time each day. This will treat your symptoms throughout the day and night.

Your doctor will tell you how long to use AVAMYS.Do not stop using AVAMYS, or change the dose without first checking with your doctor.

Use in children

AVAMYS is not recommended for use in children below 2 years of age.

What do I do if I use too much? (Overdose)

Immediately telephone your doctor or Poisons Information Centre (telephone 131126) for advice, if you think you or anyone else may have taken too much AVAMYS, even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning.If you are not sure what to do, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Things you must do

Tell your doctor if, for any reason, you have not taken your medicine exactly as directed.If you forget to use AVAMYS:

If you miss a dose, take it when you remember.
If it is almost time for your next dose, wait until then. Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

Otherwise, your doctor may think that it was not working as it should and change your treatment unnecessarily.Contact your doctor if you experience a change in your vision.

Things you must not do

Do not use AVAMYS in or near the eyes.Do not give this medicine to anyone else, even if their symptoms seem similar to yours.Do not use AVAMYS to treat any other complaints unless your doctor says to.

Things to be careful of

Be careful driving or operating machinery until you know how AVAMYS affects you. AVAMYS is unlikely to affect your ability to drive or use machinery.

What are the side effects?

Check with your doctor as soon as possible if you think you are experiencing any side effects or allergic reactions due to taking AVAMYS, even if the problem is not listed below.Like other medicines, AVAMYS can cause some side effects. If they occur, they are most likely to be minor and temporary. However, some may be serious and need medical attention.The most commonly reported side-effects are:

nose bleeds.
nasal ulceration - which may cause irritation or discomfort in your nose. You may also get streaks of blood when you blow your nose.
headache.

Uncommon side effects are:

Pain, burning, irritation, soreness or dryness in the inside of the nose.

Slowing of growth in children has also been observed, however the frequency of this occurring cannot be estimated from the available data.Tell your doctor immediately if you notice any of the following:

Wheezing, swelling of the lips/mouth, difficulty in breathing, hayfever, lumpy rash (hives) or fainting. These could be a symptom of an allergic reaction.

AVAMYS nasal spray is a white suspension contained in an amber glass bottle, fitted with a pump. The bottle is in an off-white plastic casing with a light blue cap and side-button. The casing has a window for viewing the bottle contents. The bottle contains either 30 or 120 sprays. Each spray delivers approximately 27.5 micrograms fluticasone furoate.
