The ideal vaginal pH value is 3.5-4.5. Many soaps are alkaline, which means that they have a pH value of 8-10. This upsets the pH value inside the vagina. Just using water also does not help, as the pH value of water is 7. V Wash Plus uses a lactic acid formulation that helps maintain the ideal and delicate pH value of your most intimate body part. Using this product will prevent irritation, itching, pain, bad odor, white discharge, and infections in the vaginal area.

Description

Gibiloba is generally accepted as a remedy for minor deficits in brain function, such as those that occur with advancing age. It is used to improve concentration and combat short-term memory loss due to clogged arteries in the brain, and to treat dizziness, ringing in the ears, headache, and emotional hypersensitivity accompanied by anxiety.

Pharmacology

Gibiloba is one of the most widely used and studied herbal products around the world. The leaves are generally used to make medicine. Gibiloba leaf extract mainly contains Gibiloba flavone glycosides and terpene lactones. Most Ginkgo supplements are standardized to 24% of the Ginkgo flavone glycosides and 6% of the terpene lactones. The Ginkgo leaf extract protects the neurons from oxidative damage potentially preventing the progression of tissue degeneration in patients with dementia. Additionally, Ginkgo biloba leaf extract improves blood flow throughout the body, and it restores the balance between prostacyclin and thromboxane A2 resulting in improved vasoregulation. Vascular contraction and improvement in the venous tone are thought to be the result of phosphodiesterase inhibition and release of catecholamines.

Dosage & Administration

For adults: 120-240 mg/day. 1 or 2 capsule 2 to 3 times daily or as advised by the physician.

Contraindications

Gibiloga should only be used with caution in patients taking anticoagulant or antiplatelet agents i.e. warfarin, heparin & aspirin. It is also contraindicated in bleeding disorders due to increased bleeding potential associated with chronic use (6-12 months) or before elective surgery. Contraindicated in patients with known risk factors for intracranial hemorrhage. There is no known restriction of the use of ginkgo in pregnancy and lactation.

Side Effects

No side effects following proper administration of designated therapeutic dosages. In pooled clinical trials involving 10,000 patients, the incidence of side effects produced by ginkgo extract was extremely small. There were few cases of headaches, dizziness, palpitation, gastrointestinal disturbances, bleeding disorders & skin hypersensitivity reactions. Rare cases of stomach or intestinal upsets, headaches, or allergic skin reactions have been documented. In higher than recommended doses, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, restlessness, and weakness may occur.

Pregnancy & Lactation

Gibiloba is not recommended for use during pregnancy. It is not known whether this product passes into breast milk. Because of the possible risk to the infant, breast-feeding while using this product is not recommended. This drug is also not recommended for use in children

Pharmacological class Antibacterial Pharmacological properties Bactericidal Mechanism of Action The mode of action appears to depend on the formation of reactive intermediates by reduction Nitrofurantoin is reduced by bacterial flavoproteins to reactive intermediates which inactivate or alter bacterial ribosomal proteins and other macromolecules. Side effects Gastro-intestinal tract effects are dose-related and generally include; nausea, vomiting and anorexia, abdominal pain and diarrhoea. Neurological adverse effects include headache, drowsiness, vertigo, dizziness, nystagmus and intracranial hypertension. Hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes, urticaria, pruritus, fever and angioedema may occur. Acute pulmonary sensitivity reactions characterized by sudden onset of fever, chills, eosinophilia cough, chest pain, dyspnoea, pulmonary infiltration or consolidation and pleural effusion. Contraindication It is also contra-indicated in patients known to be hypersensitive to nitrofurans and in those with a deficiency of glucose -6-phosphate dehydrogenase and in infants less than three months old. Care is required in patients with pre-existing pulmonary, hepatic, neurological or allergic disorders and those with condition (such as anaemia, diabetes mellitus, electrolyte imbalance, debility or vitamin B deficiency) which may predispose to peripheral neuropathy Interactions: Nitrofurantoin and the quinolone antibacterials are antagonistic in vitroand should not be used together. The antibacterial activity of nitrofurantoin may be decreased in the presence of carbonic anhydrase inhibitors and other drugs that alkalinize the urine. Probenecid or sulfinpyrazone should not be given with nitrofurantoin as they may reduce its excretion. Magnesium trisilicate may reduce the absorption of nitrofurantoin.

 CHILDREN MEDICINE

Taxim-O Dry Syrup Delicious Pineapple is best given an hour before or two hours after meals as that ensures better absorption. In case your child develops a stomach upset, prefer giving it with meals. The dose and duration depend upon the type and severity of the infection, so stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake, give the same dose again but do not double dose if it's the time for the next dose.Do not give this medicine to your child in case of cold and flu symptoms as they are usually caused by viruses, and antibiotics don’t treat viral infections.
