Ingredients

The active ingredient in Tyzorin® Mouth Wash is Tibezonium Iodide, a substance well-known for its anti-bacterial activity against disease-causing organisms of the mouth, gums and throat. With its analgesic and anesthetic properties, it also helps ease and soothe painful symptoms.

Mechanism of action

Tyzorin® Mouth Wash shows selective anti-bacterial activity for destroying harmful agents of such as Streptococci, Staphylococci, Diplococci and Corynaebacteria. It is generally well-tolerated by the mucosa and its action is only local.

Uses

Tyzorin® Mouth Wash is used for preventing and/or treating:

  • dental plaque
  • gingivitis (inflammation of gums)
  • alveolitis and s (inflammation of lung tissue disrupting breathing)
  • pharyngitis (painful sore throat due to common cold)
  • tonsillitis (inflammation/infection of tonsils)
  • stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth and lips)
  • serositis (inflammation of tissues lining lungs, heart, or inner lining of abdomen)

Tyzorin® Mouth wash is also effective for the pre- and post-operative treatment o tonsillectomies and tooth extraction.

Dosage & Instructions

For mouth infections: Rinse mouth/gargle with 1-2 tablespoons of undiluted mouthwash twice a day. Keep in mouth for at least 30 seconds.

For mouth hygiene: Dilute 1-2 tablespoons with equal amounts of water. Rinse mouth and gargle twice a day, or as often as necessary.

Precautions & Contraindications
  • Tyzorin® Mouth Wash does not cause any sensitization or allergic reactions.
  • Consult a physician if no improvement is seen after short-term use.
  • Do not use past expiry date.

What is Mucogel?

Mucogel Suspension is used for Ulcers, Heartburn, Dyspepsia, Hyperphosphatemia in patients with kidney disease, Constipation and other conditions. Mucogel Suspension may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.

Uses

Mucogel Suspension is used for the treatment, control, prevention, & improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms:
  • Ulcers
  • Heartburn
  • Dyspepsia
  • Hyperphosphatemia in patients with kidney disease

Composition:
Each 100 ml solution contains:
  • Benzocaine:1.5 gm.
  • Benzydamine hydrochloride:0.15 gm.
  • Cetalkonium chloride:0.0413 gm.
Properties:
B.B.C.® has multiple actions as an analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and local anesthetic.
  • Benzocaine acts as a very potent local anesthetic (surface anesthetic ).
  • Benzydamine hydrochloride in concentration of 0.15% has a potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities.
  • Cetalkonium chloride has a wide spectrum of bactericidal action beside its antifungal activity. Generally, it has antiseptic and antimicrobial actions.
Indications And Usage:
B.B.C.® mouth and throat spray is used to relieve pain and inflammation in the following cases:
  • Dental disorders, e.g. gingivitis
  • Pre-and postdental surgery
  • Sore throat
  • Pharyngitis and tonsillitis
  • Dyspeptic ulcers
  • Inflammatory conditions of the mouth and throat
  • Minor infections of the mouth and throat
B.B.C.® is also used as a mouth refresher and routine antiseptic.
Contraindications:
None
Dosage & Administration:
1-2 applications 3-4 times daily or as required.
How Supplied:
Atomizer cans of 25 ml.
Precautions:
Avoid spraying into the eyes. Not advisable in extremes of age as it may affect swallowing.
Composition: Each 5ml contains: Lactulose ................ 3.35 gm
Properties: Sedalac is a synthetic disaccharide which is poorly absorbed. In the small intestine, Sedalac is not broken down by disaccharides and reaches the colon unchanged where it is degraded by saccharolytic bacteria into low molecular organic acids: acetic acid , formic acid, mainly lactic acid. This results in acidification of the colonic contents, and increased osmotic pressure ensuring the formation of soft stool and the stimulation of bowel movements with large dose the PH of the colon is reduced significantly causing a decrease in the absorption of toxic nitrogenous compounds with a subsequent fall of blood ammonia in patients with hepatic encephalopathy.Indications:
  • Treatment of chronic constipation.
  • Adjunctive treatment of hepatic encephalopathy.
  • Disturbance of the intestinal bacterial flora (as in cases of long term treatment of antibiotics).
Contraindications Patients with galactosemia. Intestinal obstruction.Precautions: Sedalac should be given with caution in diabetic patients as the syrup contains small quantities of galactose and lactoseDosage and administration: Treatment of constipation:
  • Adults: 3 teaspoonfuls 2-3 times daily increased to 60 ml if necessary.
  • Children: Over 6 years: 1-2 teaspoonfuls twice daily. 1-6 years: 1 teaspoonful twice daily.
  • Infants: Half teaspoonful twice daily.
Adjunctive treatment of Hepatic encephalopathy:
  • Initially: up to 3 tablespoonfuls 3 times daily then adjusted to the normal daily dose.
Side effects: Sedalac may produce gaseous distension with flatulence and abdominal discomfort such as cramping. Excessive dosage may produce diarrhea, nausea and vomiting.Warning: Keep your tablets in the pack in which they were supplied. Keep your tablets below 30°C. Keep your tablets in a safe place where children cannot see or reach them.Packing: Bottle of 120 ml. Bottle of 300 ml.
